From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft departed 14G approximately 1725 on August 12, 2025, for a short flight to S24. Normal takeoff and climb to pattern altitude. During the approach to S24, the pilot entered a left crosswind for runway 24. Normal downwind base and final. After crossing the threshold, he stated a gust moved him to right of the center line. When he corrected his airspeed dropped. Then several feet above the runway the plane lost lift and impacted runway. Speed was approximately 32 knots and time 1736. The right main landing gear collapsed and the tail wheel broke at impact. The plane made 180 degree turn to the left damaging lower right wing outboard tip.

Time and airspeed were taken from foreflight track log recorded on mini i-pad.
