From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot #1 statement: departed pamr around 1130AM bound for Z40 for practice landings. Returned to pamr around 1200PM for additional practice landings. It was decided to practice a 3 point landing. Turns out I'm not proficient at 3 point landings just yet.

Pilot #2 (CFI) statement: on day two of pacer familiarization with the privacy data omitted we had done several takeoffs and landings on gravel and pavement, without incident. On the accident landing, the aircraft bounced slightly, swerved hard left immediately upon touchdown from the bounce, despite being only 2% off perfectly nose straight. I corrected immediately using full right rudder, then right brake, but neither seemed to have any effect. We didn’t have the time or aircraft speed to raise the tail, so the tail remained on the ground. We groundlooped to the left, substantially damaging the aircraft. The aircraft still taxied ok, so I took the controls and taxied us to the hangar, where we exited normally after a debrief.

As the FAA filed it

PILOT #1 STATEMENT: DEPARTED PAMR AROUND 1130AM BOUND FOR Z40 FOR PRACTICE LANDINGS. RETURNED TO PAMR AROUND 1200PM FOR ADDITIONAL PRACTICE LANDINGS. IT WAS DECIDED TO PRACTICE A 3 POINT LANDING. TURNS OUT I'M NOT PROFICIENT AT 3 POINT LANDINGS JUST YET.

PILOT #2 (CFI) STATEMENT: ON DAY TWO OF PACER FAMILIARIZATION WITH THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WE HAD DONE SEVERAL TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS ON GRAVEL AND PAVEMENT, WITHOUT INCIDENT.
