From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot statment: on my second traffic pattern solo during my first landing by myself after touching down on centerline smoothly with throttle at the idle position when I gently applied my breaks the tail started to swing back and forth out of control, I attempted to maintain control by applying rudder but was unsuccessful and went off the runway into the grass where I applied more brake to stop the

Plane. I then contacted Sanford tower to notify them I went off the runway and turned the plane off as I did not think I could maneuver it back onto the concrete. Then ARFF appeared on scene, asked how much fuel was on board and asked to take a picture of my student pilots license. Sanford airport and acron aviation then appeared on scene and towed the plane out of the grass back to the maintenance hanger.
