From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The accident aircraft was departing from a mining strip with three passengers bound for fairbanks international airport. The pilot applied full power and began the takeoff roll misaligned, approximately 15 degrees to the left of the centerline, resulting in the aircraft departing the runway. The aircraft crossed a service road, and the left wing struck a parked loader, causing substantial damage to the left flap and wing spar. The pilot then maneuvered the aircraft back onto the runway, reduced takeoff power, back taxied to the starting point, and successfully took off, with the damage being reported upon landing at fairbanks international airport.
