From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

On October 4, 2025, at approximately 1800 local time, five parachutists exited an aircraft at 14,000 feet to perform a jumping spider formation. Witnesses confirmed the victim was alert and responsive during the jump, signaling each maneuver. Multiple formation members later corroborated that the victim had been fully engaged and communicative throughout the descent. As the group broke formation to deploy their parachutes, two jumpers collided. This collision is believed to have rendered the victim unconscious. The remaining formation members deployed their parachutes and landed safely in the designated landing zone (lz). The unconscious jumper did not activate either his main or reserve chute. His reserve parachute was deployed automatically by his safety device automatic activation device (aad). He landed unconscious but under a fully inflated canopy on airport grounds. Emergency responders provided immediate care and transported the victim to the hospital. He passed away on the night of October 7, 2025
