What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Uneventful flight from kerrville to Fredericksburg. No issues noted prior to flight on taxi or takeoff. All maintenance current and no recent maintenance on brakes or steering systems. Weather was clear with no precipitation or wind. On landing rollout at Gillespie County Airport (T82) on runway 14, pilot applied brake and aircraft veered hard right off the runway, at approximately taxiway c, and pilot could not stop or steer aircraft. Nosewheel steering and brake input appeared to have no effect after initial brake application. Aircraft traveled approximately 200 feet in grass and stopped when nosewheel gear collapsed due to uneven terrain. Minor damage to nose gear, skin around nose gear, propellors, and right wingtip. No injuries. The pilot is unsure if the brake locked up on the right side or if the nose wheel steering was causing the issue. Nothing obvious upon inspection.
