From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This flight was an introductory flight with a CFI in the right seat and a non-certificated potential student in the left seat. All operations were normal throughout the flight until landing ground roll. When the CFI attempted to turn right from the runway onto a taxiway the brakes were spongy and the aircraft carried too much speed to complete the turn. The aircraft departed the runway and struck a blue taxi light with the left main landing gear wheel pant. The student in the left seat was instructed to push on the brake pedals, at which point the aircraft stopped in the grass. After the flight a mechanic inspected the brake system and found air in the brakes during bleeding of the system.

As the FAA filed it
