From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

A passenger aboard the aircraft captured video footage of the landing, which was subsequently reviewed by our office.

Upon touchdown at the destination, the video evidence reveals that the aircraft began to bounce, eventually bouncing approximately six times, with each successive bounce becoming more pronounced. This behavior resembled a "porpoising" effect upon landing.

Following the estimated sixth bounce, the pilot in command (PIC) attempted a go-around maneuver. The video indicates that this maneuver was initiated while the aircraft was airborne and positioned over the grass to the left of the runway. Shortly after the go-around was commenced, the right wing of the aircraft struck a tree and detached from the fuselage. The aircraft subsequently tumbled, impacting the ground and the side of a house, where it came to a stop. The passengers were able to evacuate the aircraft independently.

There were two individuals on board, and minor injuries were reported.

The aircraft sustained substantial damage. Left wing separated, folded over fuselage and twisted 90 degrees. Right wing separated upon impact with tree. Engine separated, resting next to nose of aircraft. Both propeller blades secure in hub. Propeller damage consistant with engine under power upon impact. Main landing gear intact.

As the FAA filed it
