What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Training flight with a student to conduct tail wheel training. Upon first landing, the aircraft veered to the right. CFI attempted to correct with left brake and rudder but appeared there was no response. Not enough speed or room to attempt a go around attempted to stop the aircraft prior to going off the runway. Upon hitting the grass at the edge of the runway, pulled the mixture out to shut off the engine. At minimal speed, hit some snow which caused the aircraft to flip over and caused prop damage, top of rudder and vertical stabilizer damage, wrinkling of the wing fabric and engine cowl damage.
