From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During a local proficiency sortie the pilot performed a normal preflight, taxi, and takeoff. During approach for landing the pilot selected landing gear down and noted the left main landing gear indicated an unsafe condition. The pilot recycled the landing gear lever and after a second extension the gear showed down and locked. Upon touchdown on the runway the pilot reported the left wing dropped due to a partial collapse of the left main landing gear. The wingtip did not contact the runway. The aircraft began to veer left and departed the runway to the left. The nose landing gear dug into the soft earth and also collapsed, causing a propeller strike. The aircraft came to a stop in the grass with the nose cowling, left wingtip, and right main landing gear resting on the ground. There was no fire or damage to other property. There were no injuries.
