From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft privacy data omitted, a Piper PA-46-310P, privacy data omitted, was conducting a landing at Treasure Coast International Airport (frp) on 6/1/2026. During landing / roll-out the nose gear collapsed. Airport conditions at the time of the incident were vmc/vfr and the runway was dry.

Upon inspection of the aircraft, the iic found the nose landing gear (retractable), landing gear doors, lower engine fairing received abrasive damage from contact with the runway surface. The propeller was destroyed due to contact with the runway surface. The propeller damage indicates the engine was running and under power. A functional check of the cockpit landing gear annunciator lights was conducted and found to be in working condition. The landing gear circuit breakers were closed and did not indicate signs of being tripped.
