From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 7, 2026, the pilot flew from lakeview aviation in newport, VT (kefk)to Laconia Municipal Airport (klci). On short final, runway 26, just before touchdown, the PIC encountered an unanticipated strong crosswind gust that pushed him to the left, causing the left wheel to hit the runway and cause a bounce. This bounce and strong crosswind pushed the aircraft further left, causing a second touch down to be in the dirt and grass on the edge of the runway. He was able to recover control and return to the runway, but not before impacting two runway lights. This damaged both runway lights, and the left stabilator and striking the propeller. There were no injuries during this incident, the aircraft was towed to the local FBO.
