From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The accident employee, a parachute rigger employed by skydive Marana, boarded the aircraft and occupied the right pilot seat during a parachute flight. After the aircraft reached jump altitude, the parachutists exited, and the pilot landed the aircraft and taxied to the loading area to hot load the next group of jumpers. The accident employee disconnected his headset and exited the aircraft through the right pilot door. Ground witnesses reported the employee turned, took several steps, and walked into the operating propeller. The pilot, who had been looking down inside the cockpit, heard the engine surge and immediately shut down the engine. Ground personnel initiated lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived. The accident employee sustained fatal injuries.
