From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The crew members had a NOTAM filed in advance and recently conducted a 20 hr inspection of the aircraft. Before flight operations began the crew contacted owb twr to notify them of their intentions to conduct UAS operations. The rpic conducted a physical inspection of the aircraft and determined that it was airworthy. The crew held a safety brief. The aircraft was configured for its first flight of the day, specifically the crew elected to utilize the vrtk (virtual rtk) feature of the Xag P100 pro for this day of flight operations. The crop protection was payload was prepared and loaded into the aircraft. The rpic began the flight operation and noted normal functionality. After 3 passes the aircraft approached the south west corner of the field where an obstacle boundary was programed around powerlines. The rpic reports that as the aircraft approached the obstacle boundary, the aircraft pitched up aggressively to attempt to not enter the obstacle area. While in this breaking action the aircraft clipped a powerline with a propeller, damaging the powerline and potentially cutting it. It is suspected striking the powerline damaged the propeller(s) on the aircraft and as it came to a halt, now inside the obstacle boundary, the aircraft exhibited unstable flight characteristics. The stability of the flight continued to degrade until the aircraft impacted the ground in an uncontrolled decent. The crew began the incident response procedures.

As the FAA filed it
