What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot was coming in for a normal landing. To the pilot's recollection, they touched down on the main landing gear. The aircraft then "jumped back into the air." The aircraft touched down on the main landing gear again, bounced, then settled nose down with the nose gear collapsing. Possible metal fatigue found on nose gear, however, contributing factors are the pilot's landing mechanics and hard touchdown.
