From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 25, 2026, San Juan FSDO 63 received a general aviation accident/incident report. Event took place at approximately 10:00 am during ground operations of aircraft privacy data omitted while taxiing to perform an engine run up at the north west area of sig airport prior to preparing to conduct a discovery flight. privacy data omitted, privacy data omitted stated that when moving aircraft the nose went down and up then propeller contacted the ground area causing the engine to stop. PIC indicated that when taxing aircraft to the engine run up area, he needed to veer to the right of the taxi way in order to avoid a twin aircraft that was in the area and a while after that was when the incident took place and the aircraft nose wheel went down and then up after falling into the pot hole then the aircraft nose section went down and the propeller impacted the taxi way.

Further inspection confirmed the area where the aircraft nose wheel fell, was not a pot hole rather a sorrounding of a water access cover present at the area. Since this area is away from the normal aircraft taxi area, the surrounding is not marked.
