From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During the course of the investigation, the pilot stated he was returning to the Finleyville Airport (G05) from a day VFR trip. After being distracted in the traffic pattern, he neglected to select the landing gear down and proceeded with the landing. Upon the gear-up touchdown, the aircraft slid straight down the runway. When the aircraft slowed to a safe speed, the pilot was able to apply right rudder, causing the aircraft to exit the runway onto the grass. The pilot and one passenger were able to exit the airplane with no injuries.
