From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

As the pilot was traveling to central city regional airport (7V7) from red cloud municipal airport (07K) the plane started losing power and wouldn't maintain altitude. Shortly after the lose of power he declared an emergency and landed in a grass field 6 miles east of harvard Nebraska. He landed with no injuries or damage to the plane. The pilot believes the engine primer was leaking fuel internally causing an enrichment and the lose of power. The pilot removed the wings and trailerd the plane to 7V7 where its hangared. He clamped off the primer line and the engine ran fine.

As the FAA filed it
