From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On August 9, 2026, at approximately 15:00 AKDT, privacy data omitted experienced a propeller strike during ground taxi operations at the iron creek airstrip near Talkeetna, Alaska. The flight was conducted under visual flight rules (VFR), with one passenger on board; there were no injuries. Prior to departure from tka, a weather briefing was obtained using the patk TAF, surface analysis, and area forecast, which indicated clear VFR weather with no precipitation and light winds favoring a downhill landing approach.

Upon arriving at the iron creek airstrip, the pilot in command (PIC) flew over the strip to observe ground surface conditions and verify wind direction before executing a safe, uneventful downhill landing. Following rollout, the PIC decided to reposition the aircraft to a pullout area at the opposite end of the airstrip for parking. While taxiing across the unimproved airstrip surface, the tail of the aircraft pitched upward, standing the aircraft on its nose and causing a propeller strike. The aircraft sustained minor damage limited to bent tips on both propeller blades and a dented spinner, with no structural or airframe damage.

As the FAA filed it

ON AUGUST 9, 2026, AT APPROXIMATELY 15:00 AKDT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ EXPERIENCED A PROPELLER STRIKE DURING GROUND TAXI OPERATIONS AT THE IRON CREEK AIRSTRIP NEAR TALKEETNA, ALASKA.
