From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On Friday, August 14, 2026, at approximately 20:05 (l) local time (sju), privacy data omitted was on final approach to Luis muÑoz marÍn international airport. Upon selecting the landing gear down, the pilot in command (PIC) observed a red indication light for the nose landing gear.

The crew notified the control tower of the abnormal gear indication and requested a low pass for visual verification of the landing gear position. Control tower personnel confirmed the gear appeared down, and the crew subsequently declared an emergency.

privacy data omitted Landed safely on runway 10 at 20:21L. While exiting runway 10 at taxiway S5, the nose landing gear collapsed. No injuries were reported. Runway 10 was closed until 22:32L, and the aircraft was towed to apron 5.

Post-accident examination of the aircraft revealed that the nose landing gear failed to lock due to an actuator failure, which provided insufficient force to extend the gear into the locked position. Maintenance replaced the actuator and performed an operational check, confirming proper gear operation and indication. Additional minor skin damage was inspected and repaired in accordance with (iaw) the aircraft structural repair manual (srm).

As the FAA filed it

ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 14, 2026, AT APPROXIMATELY 20:05 (L) LOCAL TIME (SJU), ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS ON FINAL APPROACH TO LUIS MUÑOZ MARÍN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LANDED SAFELY ON RUNWAY 10 AT 20:21L.
