From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. He was carrying too much speed and was unable to make the turn off and departed the runway/taxiway and contacted a taxiway sign. The pitot probe on the left wing was detached and the propellor struck the ground while the engine was operating. After engine stoppage the pilot and his passenger pushed the plane back from the sign and restarted the aircraft and continued to taxi to the ramp. According to the owner of rcs services on the field, the pilot and passenger went to lunch.

The pilot and passenger returned from lunch and performed a high speed taxi on runway 29. Upon reaching the 11 end of the runway the pilot tried to turn onto the last available taxiway to depart the runway and departed the taxiway runway into the taxiway sign. This resulted in a hole on the right wing just forward of the tie down eyelet and just under the leading edge on the bottom of the wing. According to the aircraft owner privacy data omitted the hole is enough damage to total the aircraft.
