EN ROUTE FROM FCO TO DTW CREW NOTICED FUEL CONSUMPTION MUCH HIGHER THAN FLIGHT PLAN PREDICTION. APPROX 2000 LBS/HR. FLIGHT DIVERTED TO AMS AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. REPLACED FILL VALVE CONTROLLER AND FUEL DUMP VALVE. OPERATION CHECKS GOOD.
