THE LT FUEL QUANTITY INDICATOR OVERHEATED DURING CRUISE FLIGHT CAUSING SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. THE UNIT WAS HOT ENOUGH TO DAMAGE THE ADJACENT FUEL PRESSURE INDICATOR.
