PILOT REPORTED INTERMITTENT MAIN GEARBOX CHIP LIGHT DURING APPROACH TO LANDING. MAGNETIC PLUG INSPECTION REVEALED METAL CONTAMINATION BEYOND ACCEPTABLE LIMITS AND TRANSMISSION WAS REMOVED FOR REPAIR.
