DURING DESCENT, THE NR 2 ENGINE COMPRESSOR STALLED AND INFLIGHT SHUTDOWN WAS ACCOMPLISHED. CREW FOLLOWED COCKPIT OPERATING PROCEDURE AND CONTINUED FLIGHT TO PHX. INSPECTION AND RUNUP OF NR 2 ENGINE ON GROUND WAS NORMAL.
