AS TAKEOFF POWER WAS APPLIED, THE LEFT ENGINE WOULD NOT REACH TARGET EPR INDICATION. CREW ABORTED TAKEOFF AND RETURNED TO THE GATE. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE LEFT ENGINE EPR TRANSMITTER AND THE LEFT ENGINE. OPERATIONAL CHECK OK. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
