PILOT REPORTED LEFT BRAKE DEICE INOPERABLE. MAINTENANCE CHECK-OUT REVEALED SWITCH IN VALVE APPEARS INOPERATIVE AS VALVE WAS PHYSICALLY IN THE OPEN POSITION, ON COMMAND. THIS VALVE WAS INSTALLED ONLY 6 MONTHS.
