NOSE GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION WAS INOPERATIVE. EMERGENCY DECLARED AND DIVERTED TO ORD. LANDING GEAR WAS BACKED UP WITH NITROGEN AND AIRCRAFT LANDING WITHOUT INCIDENT. INDICATION LIGHT CAME ON DURING TAXI. POSSIBLE FROZEN DOWNLOCK SWITCH.
