LAX - INFLIGHT SAN-JFK. CREW REPORTED LEFT ENGINE FUEL FILTER BYPASS LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER TAKEOFF. EMERGENCY DECLARED FLIGHT DIVERTED LAX LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE. REPLACED LEFT ENGINE FUEL FILTER BYPASS WIRE HARNESS. SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
