SFO - CREW REPORTED TRAILING EDGE FLAP ASYMMETRY EICAS MESSAGE. EMERGENCY DECLARED FLIGHT LANDED SFO WITHOUT INCIDENT. AIRCRAFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE. FOUND RIGHT INBOARD FLAP TRANSMISSION INDICATOR POPPED. REPLACED NUMBER 5 FLAP TRANSMISSION. SYSTEM GROUND CHECK NORMAL OPERATION.
