AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: FLIGHT CREW REPORTED A DIRTY SOCK SMELL WAS NOTED ON FLIGHT DECK BEGINNING IN DESCENT THROUGH 9000. STILL EVIDENT AT 6000. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE APU GEARBOX VENT LINE CLOGGED AND UNCLOGGED THE VENT LINE.
