AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: DOOR LATCH MECHANISM IN FLIGHT DECK DOOR WILL NOT RETRACT WHEN THE HANDLE IS TWISTED LEFT, WORKS OK WHEN THE HANDLE IS TWISTED RIGHT. MAINTENANCE ADJUSTED FLIGHT DOOR MECHANISM AND ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK.
