AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: WHEN UNLOCKING FLIGHT DECK DOOR FROM FLIGHT DECK AND TURNING THE HANDLE COUNTERCLOCKWISE THE BOLT DOESN'T RETRACT ENOUGH TO OPEN DOOR. IT WORKS NORMALLY WHEN TURNED CLOCKWISE. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED FLIGHT DECK DOOR LATCH MECHANISM ADJUSTMENT AND ACCOMPLISHED A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK PER AMM 52-51-21.
