AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO MOVE THE RELEASE LEVER TO CLOSE THE CAPTAINS FLIGHT DECK SLIDING WINDOW. MAINTENANCE FOUND A MISSING STOP BUFFER SHIM AND INSTALLED IT PER SRM 53-11-12.
