AIRCRAFT IN BASE MAINTENANCE: L2 DOOR SLIDE RAFT COVER RELEASE CABLE DISENGAGED WHILE MAINTENANCE WAS TAKING THE SLIDE ASSEMBLY TO THE AIRCRAFT FOR INSTALLATION. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE SLIDE RAFT ASSEMBLY WITH A SERVICEABLE UNIT PER TASK CARD 26C83252008.
