AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: FLIGHT DECK DOOR HANDLE MALFUNCTIONING. WHEN YOU TURN THE HANDLE CLOCKWISE TO OPEN, THE TOP LATCH ON THE DOOR CATCHES AND DOOR IS UNABLE TO BE OPENED. IT DOES WORK IN THE COUNTERCLOCKWISE TURN. MAINTENANCE CLEANED AND LUBED FLIGHT DECK DOOR LATCHES PER AMM 52-51-00. A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS ACCOMPLISHED.
