AIRCRAFT WAS GROUNDED: AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED INTO ORD DUE TO THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTING THAT THE LEFT ENGINE IDG OIL OVERHEAT MESSAGE DISPLAYED AT CRUISE WHICH RESULTED IN THE FLIGHT CREW DISCONNECTING THE IDG - THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT ORD AND TAXIED TO THE GATE UNDER ITS OWN POWER - MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE LEFT ENGINE IDG PER JOB CARD 26L40024001
