AIRCRAFT WAS NOT GROUNDED: FLAPS WOULD NOT EXTEND BEYOND 10 DEGREES ON APPROACH EXECUTED GO AROUND AND COMPLIED WITH QRH CHECKLIST. FLAPS EXTENDED NORMALLY ON SECOND APPROACH. ACCOMPLISHED PHASE 1 INSPECTION FOR LEADING EDGE AND TRAILING EDGE FLAPS IAW FIM 05-51-08-210-801. NO VISUAL DEFECTS NOTED.A/C OK FOR SERVICE.
