THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR WHEEL BRAKES WOULD NOT OPERATE. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND FOUND THE BRAKE HYDRAULIC POWER VALVE ASSY TO HAVE A BROKEN FORK. THE POWER VALVE WAS REPLACED IAW DC-8 MM 32-42-02.
