What was found
PART IS DEFECTIVE. DURING CRUISE FLIGHT PILOT DETECTED A STRONG BURNING ODOR, ACCOMPANIED WITH A "FAIL" INDICATION ON THE EADI. FOLLOWING EMERGENCY PROCEDURES, THE ODOR STOPPED WHEN THE EFIS WAS TURNED OFF. PART WAS REPLACED WITH SERVICEABLE UNIT.
