FLIGHT 2949 - EWR - FLIGHT CREW REPORTED SMOKE APPEARED BETWEEN THE GLARESHIELD AND THE TOP OF AUTO-PILOT. EWR MX REMOVED AND REPLACED FLOOD LIGHT PROJECTOR AND PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK SUCCESSFULLY. ACFT WAS APPROVED TO RETURN TO SERVICE.
