CREW REPORTS ELECTRICAL BURNING ODOR IN AFT GALLEY, DURING GROUND OPS. PERFORMED SMOKE/ODOR CONDITIONAL INSPECTION IAW AMM 05-51-26. FOUND AFT GALLEY OVERHEAD LIGHT BALLAST M1843 TO BE THE CAUSE. PULLED, CAPPED AND STOWED CONNECTOR FROM BALLAST IAW GMM 05-30-05. REMOVED AND REPLACED AFT GALLEY LIGHT BALLAST IAW AMM 33-26-02-960-802. OPS CHKD GOOD, NO DEFECTS NOTED. REMOVED AIRCRAFT FROM MEL.
