ATTEMPTED APU START PRIOR TO LANDING, HAD INDICATION OF APU FIRE (LIGHTS AND BELLS). FIRE HANDLE PULLED, BOTTLE DISCHARGED AND LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. INSPECTED APU AREA AND EXHAUST, SUSPECT FALSE INDICATION. REPLACED LOOP.
