CAPT ADI INOP WITH ALT FLAG, ROLL LIGHT ILLUMINATED. TEST SWITCH RESULTED IN INDICATOR SPINNING AT HIGH SPEED IN ROLL DIRECTION, AUX GYRO NO HELP. AIR TURNBACK TO ATL AT 1420. C/A REPLACED CAPT ADI, FUNCTIONS NORMAL.
