DURING FLT CONTROL CHECK JUST PRIOR TO DEPARTURE, UPPER CONTROL SURFACE DAMPER ON RUDDER BROKE AT ITS ROD END AND DAMAGED SHEET METAL COVER AND ACCESS DOOR ASSY. REPLACED DAMPENER AND ATTACH FITTING ON RUDDER, FLT CONTROL CHECK NORMAL.
