PIT- FLIGHT 3774- PRIOR TO DEPARTURE THE CABIN DOOR WAS FOUND DIFFICULT TO CLOSE. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED, OPERATED DOOR, NO DEFECTS FOUND. SUBSEQUENT MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE FORWARD DOOR GAS STRUT IAW DHC MAINTENANCE MANUAL PROCEDURES, OPERATIONAL CHECK PROVED SATISFACTORY.
