What was found
ON FLIGHT 3716 DURING THE APPROACH THE CREW REPORTED THE SLATS FAILED TO EXTEND. THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM SERVICE. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE NR 5 SLAT ACTUATOR ON THE LEFT WING IAW M/M 27-81-09. THE OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS GOOD. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
