AIRCRAFT NOT GROUNDED. WHILE REPLACING L2 DOOR SLIDE, FOUND L2 DOOR DAMPER CYLINDER STRIKER MECHANISM HAD BROKEN SPRING & PRESSURE GAUGE PLUG MISSING LIQUID LEAKED OUT. L2 DOOR DAMPER EMERGENCY CYLINDER INSTALLED IAW AMM 52-13-14-400-001-B, C/W AMM 52-11-14-820-002-A, NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
