1. Installation of Pitot Heat Indication System must be done in accordance with Rocky Mountain Aircraft Installation Instructions EO-1270-01, Issue 1, Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) approved April 7, 2008, or later TCCA approved revision.
2. Operation must be done in accordance with Rocky Mountain Aircraft Flight Manual Supplement FMS-1270-01, Issue 1, TCCA approved April 7, 2008, or later TCCA approved revision.

1. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

3. Maintenance must be done in accordance with Maintenance Manual Supplement (ICA) MMS-1270-01, Issue 2, dated June 14, 2022, or later TCCA accepted revision.
2. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.
3. This STC is applicable to all serial numbers for this Make, Model, and Series.
Certification Basis:
Based on 14 CFR § 21.115 and § 21.101, and the FAA policy for design changes that are identified as not significant in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification to Viking Air Limited DHC-6-100, DHC-6-200, and DHC-6-300 aircraft is as follows:
a. The type certification basis for Viking Air Limited DHC-6-100, DHC-6-200, and DHC-6-300 as shown on TCDS A9EA for parts not changed or not affected by the change.
b. The type certification basis for Viking Air Limited DHC-6-100, DHC-6-200, and DHC-6-300 as shown on TCDS A9EA for parts changed or affected by the change with the following additions:
• 14 CFR Part 23.1309 at amendment level 23-14
• 14 CFR Part 23.1322 at amendment 23-17
• 14 CFR Part 23.1326 at amendment level 23-49
