Description of the Type Design Change:
Installation of the MidContinent MD302 Standby Digital Flight Instrument System, in accordance with Master Drawing List, E-MC-12-0022, Rev. E, dated December 02, 2013, or later FAA approved revision.
1. The installer must determine if this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.
2. This certificate does not authorize interconnecting the MD302 with the primary flight displays or multifunction display.
3. The modified airplane must be maintained in accordance with the Electronic Standby Instrument Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, E-MC-12-0029 Rev. C, dated November 19, 2013, or later FAA approved revision.

4. The airplane flight manual supplement identified below that is applicable to the modified aircraft must be maintained onboard that aircraft:
a. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement to the Piper Aircraft Model PA-46-500TP (G1000) Airplane Flight Manual, Standby Instrument Module: Mid-Continent MD302, E-MC-12-0030, Rev IR, dated February 03, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision.
b. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement to the Piper Aircraft Model PA-46R-350T (G1000) Airplane Flight Manual, Standby Instrument Module: Mid-Continent MD302, E-MC-12-0033, Rev IR, dated February 03, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision.
c. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement to the Piper Aircraft Model PA-46R-350T (Avidyne) Airplane Flight Manual, Standby Instrument Module: Mid-Continent MD302, E-MC-12-0034, Rev IR, dated February 03, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision.
d. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement to the Piper Aircraft Model PA-46-350P (G1000) Airplane Flight Manual, Standby Instrument Module: Mid-Continent MD302, E-MC-12-0035, Rev IR, dated February 03, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision.
e. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement to the Piper Aircraft Model PA-46-350P (Avidyne) Airplane Flight Manual, Standby Instrument Module: Mid-Continent MD302, E-MC-12-0036, Rev IR, dated February 03, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision.
f. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement to the Piper Aircraft Model PA-46-500TP (Avidyne) Airplane Flight Manual, Standby Instrument Module: Mid-Continent MD302, E-MC-12-0037, Rev IR, dated February 03, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision.
5. A copy of this certificate, its continuation sheet, and the appropriate FAA-approved airplane flight manual supplement per item number 0 above, must be maintained as part of the permanent records of the modified aircraft.
6. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
Certification Basis:
The certification basis for the Piper PA-46-350P, PA-46R-350T, and PA-46-500TP is as shown on Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) A25SO with the following exception:
i. 14 CFR 23.1311 (a)(5) Amendment 23-62 is used.
